Pageant Categories

Contestants will appear before the panel of judges in 5 on-stage categories:

Introduction, Talent, Oratorical Speech, Evening Wear, and Question & Answer.

Introduction

The Introduction is the first competition of the evening. Contestants will introduce themselves to the judges and audience. We expect great tonality, poise, posture, and articulation. First impressions are lasting, so bring your energy!

Talent

The Talent competition is full of endless possibilities. Contestants will be given a total of 3 minutes to showcase their talent. Be creative, but most of all have fun!

Oratorical Speech

The Oratorical Speech competition is your opportunity to present your platform and how you will fulfill it during your reign. In 3 minutes or less, we want you to complete the following statement. "If I were crowned the Miss Black Northeast Georgia Teen, my platform would be..."

Evening Wear

Lights, Camera, Action! The Evening Wear competition is all about the grace and elegance of being a woman. Don't just walk the stage. Own that stage!

Question & Answer

The final competition is Question & Answer. Each contestant will pull a question then be asked to answer it on stage. Don't sweat this! We ask questions that are age appropriate and relevant to present times.

Miss Black Northeast Georgia Teen

The contestant who achieves the highest cumulative score from the judges. 1st Runner Up & 2nd Runner Up will also be awarded.

Miss Congeniality

Contestants will vote on which contestant has the best personality.

Miss Philanthropic

The contestant who is making significant contributions in their community through time, actions, and dedication.

People's Choice

The contestant who receives the most votes at the Miss Black Northeast Georgia Teen Pageant from the audience.

Entry into Miss Black Georgia USA Talented Teen Pageant

*In addition to the prizes, the Northeast Georgia Pageant Association, Inc. will donate to a charity of the winner's choice.*

Miss Black Northeast Georgia Teen will compete at the state level in the Miss Black Georgia USA Talented Teen Pageant.

1st & 2nd Runner Up will receive:

$750 Scholarship (1st Runner Up)

$250 Scholarship (2nd Runner Up)

Trophy

All Contestants will receive:

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the entire pageant process?

Our pageant season begins in January and ends in June. During this time, we will meet once a month.

What fees are associated with entering the Miss Black Northeast Georgia Teen pageant?

If selected to be a contestant, there is a $125 registration fee. The registration fee will be due at our Pageant Kick-off in January 2024.

What does the registration fee cover?

The registration fee covers operational costs for pageant day and 1 general admission ticket.

What is the judging criteria?

Contestants will be judged in 5 on-stage categories: Introduction, Talent, Oratorical Speech, Evening Wear, and Question & Answer.

What is the age requirement?

To be eligible to apply, you must be a high school student at time of application.

How much do contestants have to fundraise?

Each contestant must raise a minimum of $1,000 in sponsorships, donations, and/or ad sales. These funds are used for production costs and prizes. Additionally, we donate 10% of our proceeds to a charity of the winner's choice.

I don't live in Northeast or East Central Georgia.
Can I still apply?

To be eligible to apply, you must reside in the Northeast or East Central regions. Please review the eligible counties on our "About" or "Apply" tabs.

How do I apply?

Our application period has closed for our 2024 pageant season. Check back in November when we open up applications for our next pageant season.

Do I need to have pageant experience to compete in the Miss Black Northeast Georgia Teen Pageant?

No pageant experience required! We offer pageant coaching and ongoing support to prepare you for the big day.

If I win the title of Miss Black Northeast Georgia Teen, what is expected of me?

During your reign as Miss Black Northeast Georgia Teen, we ask that you uphold your title by fulfilling your platform, partaking in community service, and representing our brand at various engagements.
